Our recap of the World Aviation Festival 2025

The World Aviation Festival in Lisbon is more than just a conference - it is the place where the course is set for the technological future of aviation. Decision-makers, innovators and technology providers met for three days. For us at TestSolutions it was clear: we are not just there, we are helping to shape it. Now, back from Portugal, we are not only full of impressions, but above all strengthened in our mission: to drive forward the digital transformation of the industry as an experienced partner for quality assurance - a task to which we have dedicated ourselves in the airline tech sector since our foundation in 2007.

At the stand: where AI meets airline reality

Our 12 square meter stand quickly became what we had hoped it would be: a hub for expert discussions. The topics that brought visitors to us were clearly defined. It was about concrete solutions for well-known problems such as the provision of test data for mass booking systems (Amadeus, Sabre & Co.) or our AI-supported test automation, which we presented together with our partner AskUI.

It was not only the what that was exciting, but also the who. We are usually mainly active on the side of software users such as airlines. In Lisbon, however, we were also visited by numerous software manufacturers who have specific needs in the quality assurance of their products. These discussions clearly showed us that there is also a relevant market for our industry expertise on the vendor side.

Clear the stage for the "Global Test Factory"

One highlight was the presentation by our Chief Process Officer, Florian Fieber, together with Susanne Kunkel from the Lufthansa Group. Under the title "Testing Around the World - Establishing and Operating a Global Test Factory", they provided insights into one of the biggest challenges for globally operating airlines: the scaling and standardization of test processes across distributed teams and complex system landscapes.

The packed room and the follow-up questions made it clear that the test factory approach, which combines methodology, tools and governance into a functioning whole, is the strategic key for many companies to harmonize quality and speed.

The dialog continues

The World Aviation Festival 2025 confirmed one thing for us: The aviation industry is in the midst of a technological upheaval that cannot be mastered without professionalized quality assurance. The complexity of systems is increasing, the pressure to innovate is growing and passenger expectations are higher than ever.

The talks in Lisbon were the kick-off for us. We look forward to continuing the discussions and working togetherto develop the digital processes that will shape the travel of tomorrow.
