Shaping the Future of Air Travel Tech
The World Aviation Festival (WAF) is one of the most important global events in the aviation industry, taking place from October 7 to 9, 2025, in Lisbon. It brings together decision-makers, technology providers, and innovators to shape the future of air travel. TestSolutions is proud to be a sponsor and exhibitor, showcasing our latest solutions for testing and optimizing processes within the industry.
TestSolutions is a Leading Airline Software Testing Specialist

What We Present at WAF 2025
Centralized Test Data Hub for Airline Mass Booking Systems
Our centralized Test Data Hub automates the entire process of creating, managing, and governing mass test data specifically for airline mass booking systems. It seamlessly integrates with legacy and host systems such as Amadeus, Sabre, and Travelport, allowing testing teams to independently generate realistic, compliant, and scenario-specific booking data at scale without manual effort.
Standard PNR (Passenger Name Record) and flight test data creation is often manual, error-prone, and slow, which can cause inconsistent or outdated test data and incomplete test coverage. Our platform eliminates these issues by supporting bulk booking generation, injecting special service requests, and orchestrating complex operational scenarios within minutes. This ensures up-to-date, high-quality data across all UAT, pre-production, training and live systems—reducing risk and accelerating fixing, test and release cycles.

Human-Like Test Automation with AI
In the complex environment of airline software such as MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) platforms, traditional test automation struggles to keep pace due to changing UI elements and multi-device workflows. We overcome these challenges by employing AI-powered frameworks that use intelligent agents and OCR technology to interact with user interfaces in a human-like manner. This approach enables stable, efficient testing across desktop and mobile devices, covering end-to-end business processes that are otherwise difficult to automate reliably. By reducing maintenance effort and increasing automation coverage, our solution helps airlines accelerate software delivery and improve the overall quality and safety of their operations.
Why Airliners work with us
The aviation industry is highly regulated and requires the utmost precision, safety, and operational efficiency, all while keeping the customer journey at the forefront.
Our tailored test services are designed to meet these challenges by enabling airlines and their partners to optimize digital workflows, reduce operational costs as well as test cycle times, and ensure compliance with stringent quality standards.
Since 2007, we have tested virtually every aspect of airline software systems across the entire industry value chain: from booking systems, fleet planning, maintenance, and service management to HR, finance, ERP, customer loyalty programs, regulatory reporting in cooperation with aviation authorities, airline start-up support, and coordinated operational testing with airports.
This comprehensive quality assurance and testing expertise enables us to accelerate release cycles, reduce testing costs, minimize quality risks, and deliver measurable improvements in software reliability and compliance standards.

How We Help Our Airline Clients
A Selection of Mini Case Studies

Testing the Electronic Flight Bag of a Leading Airline
The Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) digitized pilot documents and safety functions, evolving continuously for reliability and user-friendliness. New features were integrated without compromising safety, supported by a consistent, high-standard testing strategy. Tests included system, acceptance, regression, and safety assessments in lab and live cockpit settings. Automation sped up error detection and standardization, while user feedback guided improvements. This approach ensured a stable, efficient, and secure platform for pilots.

Developing a Community of Practice
A Testing Community of Practice (CoP) was created to support a major airline’s digital transformation by fostering shared quality standards and integrating testing from the start. It tackled challenges like different team maturity and legacy systems through a unified testing guideline, dedicated end-to-end testing teams, and centralized resources. The CoP enhanced quality, team ownership, and continuous improvement culture. Success relied on flexible approaches, embedding quality in teams, and strong communication and management support.

Testing an Airline Incident Reporting System
A new incident reporting system replaced an outdated one to improve safety incident recording for pilots, crews, and ground staff. It was tailored to complex workflows, aviation authority requirements and user needs for smooth operation. Test management covered system integration checks, end-to-end tests, and pilot tests with expert users. Early involvement, manual and orchestrated testing, and defect analysis ensured high acceptance and readiness.

Testing the Upgrade and Cloud Migration of a Legacy HR System
A large airline upgraded its Oracle PeopleSoft HR system from the early 2000s and migrated it to the cloud to boost security and usability. The project required documenting all existing and manual processes with close collaboration between business, IT, and developers. Test management guided requirements, roles, and extensive testing. Regular communication ensured transparency and quick issue resolution, leading to better system performance and user experience.

Testing an Airline Booking System
A global airline group implemented a new booking system to unify bookings across airlines, requiring a comprehensive testing strategy due to complexity and real-time demands. Testing included end-to-end, integration, automated and manual regression, and acceptance tests covering functional and non-functional needs. Automation accelerated testing and releases, while manual tests ensured usability and customer experience, resulting in a reliable and user-friendly platform.

Testing a Frequent Flyer Reward Program
A frequent flyer program shifted to a new rewards calculation model involving multiple integrated systems requiring precise end-to-end validation. The project overcame COVID-19 interruptions with a structured test approach, offshore support, and manual testing focused on error-free transition. The rollout was smooth, securing system stability and customer trust, especially for status members. The case underscores the value of robust test management, transparency, pragmatic problem solving, and efficient resource use for complex IT success.
The Test Factory Approach
Looking back at 500+ test projects, TestSolutions has been a trusted partner for fast, on‑demand testing services within industry‑specific success models. Among our key contributions is the foundational support and ongoing delivery for a centralized software QA service model known as the Test Factory.
Notably, we co‑founded and have continuously supported the Lufthansa Group Test Factory nearly two decades ago, supplying 360° QA software testing services and solutions — primarily from Germany, complemented by offshore teams in Rwanda and India.
