In March 2026, TestSolutions GmbH took part in the Aviation Festival Asia in Singapore, one of the most important international conferences for technology, digitalization and new business models in aviation.
From March 25 to 26, leading airlines, technology providers and decision-makers from the industry came together at the Suntec Convention Center to discuss current developments, make new contacts and strengthen existing partnerships.
The Aviation Festival Asia demonstrated the extent to which aviation is currently undergoing change. Topics such as artificial intelligence, modern retailing approaches and the further development of existing IT systems were the focus of many discussions.
Many airlines are working on making their systems more flexible and more customer-oriented. At the same time, the requirements for stability, performance and short release cycles are increasing. New digital solutions need to be introduced more quickly without compromising operational reliability - see our article on airline retailing with diagram.
Our discussions with airlines, primarily from the Middle East, East Asia and Southeast Asia, as well as our partners focused primarily on specific issues from day-to-day operations.
A key topic was the further development of airline retailing, particularly in connection with ONE Order. The switch to modern, order-based systems requires close integration with existing legacy systems. It is therefore important to properly secure end-to-end processes and reliably test interfaces.
The use of artificial intelligence in test automation was also discussed intensively. Traditional approaches often reach their limits with complex and dynamic systems. AI-based solutions can help to make tests more stable and align them more closely with actual user behavior.
Another focus was on test data management. Especially with booking systems from manufacturers such as Amadeus, Travelport or Sabre, realistic and consistent data is crucial in order to achieve meaningful test results. Automated approaches and specialized tools for creating and managing this data, including test environments, are therefore becoming increasingly important.
It also became apparent that many airlines are looking for scalable models for their quality assurance. Flexible test factory approaches offer the opportunity to relieve the burden on internal teams in a targeted manner while ensuring consistently high quality.
Airline Networking Soirée at Raffles HotelOur Airline Networking Soirée at Raffles Hotel Singapore was a special part of the program.
More than 40 airline representatives came together in a small, deliberately personal setting. The event offered the opportunity to continue discussions from the conference environment in a relaxed atmosphere and to make new contacts.
We look forward to seeing our guests again soon!
The event once again highlighted the importance of the Asia-Pacific region for aviation. The region is growing strongly and offers new perspectives and impulses for technologies and business models in many areas.
For TestSolutions, this is an important market in which we would like to further expand our activities. The aim is to support airlines in their transformation projects and at the same time facilitate close cooperation on the ground.
The days in Singapore have shown how dynamically aviation is developing and how closely technological innovation and operational stability are linked.
Digital solutions open up new opportunities, but also present airlines with complex challenges. This makes it all the more important to develop and secure systems reliably from the outset.
We would like to thank all of our discussion partners for the open exchange and look forward to continuing to advance the topics we have started together.
