The Certified Tester Scheme of the ISTQB® is the globally recognized standard for the training and further education of software testers. The "Performance Testing (CT-PT)" specialization is aimed at professionals who want to systematically test, analyse and optimize performance aspects.
You will learn how to analyze systems under load, identify typical bottlenecks and address performance problems in a targeted manner. You will also learn how to prepare performance tests methodically, carry them out using suitable tools and integrate them into the software life cycle - from defining realistic load profiles to interpreting meaningful metrics.
The focus is on topics such as load and stress tests, throughput analyses, performance metrics and the structured use of test tools for load simulation. Other focal points are the development of realistic operational and load profiles, dealing with bottlenecks and scalability problems as well as the integration of performance tests into classic and agile development processes.
Participants acquire a sound understanding of the practical use of performance tests in various architectures - as well as their goals, challenges and strategic importance in the quality assurance process.

The "ISTQB Certified Tester" programme is a globally recognized, standardized training and further education scheme for software testers. It comprises the Foundation, Advanced and Expert training levels as well as additional specializations for agile teams and specific specialist areas such as performance, usability or AI.The associated syllabuses and exam questions are provided in Germany by the German Testing Board (GTB). The examinations are conducted by authorized certification bodies.
