The State of Hesse and the East African Community (EAC) signed an AI and digital partnership at the Invest.EastAfrica! CEO Forum in Nairobi. For TestSolutions, this political initiative builds on existing economic cooperation: The Frankfurt-based software testing and quality assurance service provider has been represented in Rwanda by a subsidiary since 2022. CEO Christian Knoop visited Rwanda and Kenya as a member of the business delegation led by Hesse’s Minister of State Manfred Pentz.

Software Testing from Rwanda: Contributing to More Than 20 Projects
According to the company, since TestSolutions Rwanda was founded, the team in Kigali has contributed to more than 20 local and international projects, including those in the airline, FinTech, and mobility sectors. The specialists in Rwanda work in full collaboration with the teams in Germany and India. Knoop shared this experience in international software quality assurance during the delegation’s visit.
On the sidelines of the trip, Knoop spoke with Jean-Guy Afrika, CEO of the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), about the collaboration over the past few years. TestSolutions expressed its appreciation for the RDB’s support in establishing its business operations in Rwanda. A visit to the company’s own office in Kigali rounded out the program: Knoop discussed current local developments with the local director, Isabelle Bucyeyeneza, and the team leaders.

AI and Digital Partnership as a Framework for Joint Projects
The new partnership between Hesse and the EAC aims to strengthen exchanges between Germany and East Africa and support joint projects. Knoop welcomed the agreement as a foundation for further cooperation. Digitalization and artificial intelligence were among the focal points of the six-day delegation trip, which began on September 13, 2026. The full itinerary included stops in Rwanda, Tanzania, and Kenya.

TestSolutions Academy: Professional Development for IT Teams in Rwanda
In addition to project work, TestSolutions in Rwanda is committed to professional development. Since early 2026, the TestSolutions Rwanda Academy has been supporting IT professionals and existing IT teams with hands-on training in software testing, test automation, and AI-related quality topics. The program is aimed at organizations that wish to further develop their capabilities and structures for software quality assurance.
